The sound archive of the Institute of Musicology contains over 10'000 pieces of media. The collection's main focus is operatic music, but all genres and styles of classical music are represented. Since the establishment of the professorship for Cultural Anthropology of Music, the inventory is also constantly expanding in this field. The sound archive is equipped with two listening facilities and offers access to the digitized documents of the Fonoteca Nazionale.
You will find the sound archive at the Mittelstrasse 43, room 048.
